Senior Accountant

Job Description

Seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for compiling, preparing, and analyzing financial reconciliations, including AR and Bank Reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with accepted policies and procedures. You will prepare reserve reconciliation reports, review Ecommerce reports, perform account reconciliations, and calculate accruals. Additionally, you'll prepare complex journal entries, contribute to month-end and year-end close processes, and document accounting policies and workflows. This role also includes initiating process improvements and participating in special projects as assigned while maintaining confidentiality of financial information.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

  • Advanced experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook

  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles

  • Knowledge of auditing practices and principles

  • Knowledge of JDE

  • Experience in corporate accounting

  • Ability to work independently and in a team

  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strategic and tactical thinking

  • Strong communication skills

  • Problem identification and analysis

  • Teamwork

Work Environment

This role requires a minimum of 6 years’ experience in a large corporate accounting department, with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting or equivalent from an accredited university. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work closely with all major functional leaders and take ownership of their work product.
