Job Description

As a Benefits Advisor, you will partner with union consultants to assess their group benefit needs, evaluate current offerings, and identify opportunities for new plans or products. You will educate clients on plan design, funding models, potential rate structures, and detailed coverage information. You will have annual goals, expected to prospect for new business continuously while maintaining renewal business throughout the year. You will work closely with our carrier partners and account management team to service new and renewal business. Additionally, you will be involved in multiple health and welfare plans, specializing in benefits consulting and administration in the Union/Taft-Hartley arena. You will acquire and maintain operational and detailed knowledge of all funds and benefit plans, focusing on pension, annuity, and retirement funds. Regular interaction with several union groups and their leaders and members is expected, providing plan information and answering questions about benefits, coverage, claims, etc. You will also be heavily involved in reviewing and examining the groups’ claims experience, focusing on reporting and analysis.
