Aston Carter Division Controller in Nashville, Tennessee

Aston Carter is currently partnering with a local company in Nashville, TN. They are in need of a Controller to join one of their main departments. If interested please see below for more details.

Description:

  • Oversee a timely and accurate month-end close process for the company’s wholesale business and retail activities and prepare monthly operational results

  • Prepare and present monthly financial and operational analysis for the wholesale business and retail activities

  • Oversee the timely and accurate filing tax returns across each state and respective local jurisdictions the company operates in and ensure the company maintains compliance with the requirements of each state and local jurisdiction

  • Provide oversight of the company’s accounting systems and ensure they are designed functioning properly to meet the company’s business objectives

  • Responsible for the design, implementation, and operating effectiveness of proper policies, procedures, and internal controls

  • Conduct financial reviews and analysis monthly to support the company’s growth, profitability, and operational performance and identify, document, and resolve accounting and operational issues as they arise

  • Assist the Corporate Controller and FP&A department with formulating budgets, forecasts, and monthly variance analysis

  • Interface with external auditors and regulatory professionals to support interim and year-end financial statement audits and tax audits.
