Aston Carter Senior Tax Accountant in Salem, Oregon

Work Site: This is a fully on-site position in Lake Oswego, Oregon OR Salem, Oregon.

Job Description

As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for the general accounting functions including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers, and account and bank reconciliations. You will assist with monthly closings, account analysis, and support the senior accountant in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department. This role involves compiling and analyzing financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and documenting business transactions. You will distribute expenditures, encumbrances, receipts, and receivables according to schedules, and perform statistical analyses to determine trends and significant changes. Additionally, you will prepare tax returns, financial reports, and tax planning, audit contracts, orders, and vouchers, and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.

1) 8-10 years of public tax accounting experience - Review and Prep - Corporations, Partnerships and LLCs

2) Active CPA OR/WA

3) GAAP - Journal Entries, General Ledger, Reconciliations, Financial Statements

4) CCH Axcess software experience

5) Savvy with Excel, and ability to pick up new systems quickly

6) Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance - MBA or CMA preferred
