Aston Carter Senior Accountant - SEC Reporting in Seattle, Washington

Job Description:

• Prepare SEC, regulatory, and statutory financial statements in accordance with the relevant financial reporting framework

• Maintain the chart of accounts

• Perform technical accounting research (in partnership with our Technical Accounting team) and prepare the relevant documentation to support financial statement disclosures

• Support program management for the financial reporting process

• Preparing internal and external financial reporting packages

• Maintain a system of internal controls over financial reporting and ensuring design and operating effectiveness of these internal controls.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or finance, or similar experience, and 3+ years of professional experience in an accounting role

• Public accounting experience with public company clients required, CPA strongly preferred

• Financial reporting experience for a public company preferred

• Strong technical accounting background

• Strong analytical skills

• Great attention to detail

• Proficiency in Excel

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; and remain agile to changing and growing business needs

• Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
