Aston Carter Payroll Administrator in Vaughan, Ontario

Job Title: Payroll AdministratorJob Description

Join our team as a Payroll Administrator and take on the vital role of managing payroll processes for approximately 6,500 salaried, hourly, and unionized employees across multiple provinces. Your responsibilities will include accurate payroll processing, data management, quality assurance, system integration, compliance adherence, reporting, analysis, and policy development. You will use Workday Payroll for processing, import data from Agile for time and attendance, update employee records, and ensure all payments such as regular, commission, bonuses, and special payments are processed accurately and on time. Additionally, you will audit payroll registers, reconcile tax accounts, respond to inquiries, and collaborate on payroll policy development.

Hard Skills

  • Full cycle payroll management

  • Experience with ADP, CERIDIAN, and Workday Payroll

  • Knowledge of ROE

  • Understanding of Canadian Payroll legislation and practices

  • Proficiency in Excel

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Vaughan, Ontario and some days remote.

Work Environment

The first three months will require full-time presence in our Vaughan office, transitioning to a hybrid model with 2-3 days in office per week post-training. Work hours are from 9 AM to 5 PM with a vaccination mandate in place. After a 3-month probation period, parking becomes paid. The dress code is business casual. This role reports to the Payroll Manager in Canada and collaborates with a team of 20 in Vaughan and 40 across the US and Canada.
